In plain English
What does boilerplate mean?
A boilerplate is a short, pre-approved paragraph, typically 50 to 100 words, that summarizes who a company is, what it does, and key credentials like founding year, headquarters, or market position. It appears at the bottom of nearly every press release and stays largely unchanged across releases, giving journalists quick context without cluttering the news itself.
